On Tuesday, February 3, remote learning and remote work will be in effect until 12 p.m. The University will continue to operate under Essential Employees Response Team 2 through 12 p.m., which includes grounds, maintenance, and housekeeping. 

Beginning at 12 p.m. Tuesday, classes, work schedules, and campus operations will resume normal operations.

The University remains on normal operating hours today. Faculty, staff, and students should prioritize their own health and safety. Travel plans to and from campus should be carefully evaluated in light of rapidly developing weather conditions.  

Upcoming Operational Changes 

Beginning at 12 a.m. on Saturday, January 31 through Sunday, February 1, the University will transition to our Inclement Weather Plan & Essential Employees Response Team 2, which includes grounds, maintenance, and housekeeping. 

Weekend face-to-face classes at the Charlotte campus have moved to a synchronous online format. Professors will contact affected students directly with further information regarding coursework and expectations. 

Students enrolled in clinicals, practicums, or internships should contact their program coordinator and/or instructor for further guidance.

Out of an abundance of caution, ÃÛ¶¹Ö±²¥ University will continue to operate under remote work and remote learning until noon on Wednesday, January 28th. Beginning at noon on Wednesday, classes and work schedules will resume normal operations.

During this period of time, the University will continue operating under Essential Employees Response Team 2, which includes grounds, maintenance, and housekeeping. Employees should coordinate directly with their supervisor or vice president for guidance, as needed.

  • The cafeteria will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Dover Library will be closed until noon, Wednesday, January 28th.

ÃÛ¶¹Ö±²¥ University continues to monitor winter weather conditions and their potential impact on campus operations.

The University remains on normal operating hours today, Friday, January 23, with the exception of the classes that have already been canceled.

Faculty, staff, and students should prioritize their own health and safety. Travel plans to and from campus should be carefully evaluated in light of rapidly developing weather conditions.

Upcoming Operational Changes

Beginning at noon on Saturday, January 24, the University will transition to Essential Employees Response Team 2, which includes grounds, maintenance, and housekeeping.

University Operations

Monday will remain a remote learning day and will also be a remote workday for all employees, except those supporting Response Team 2 operations. Employees should coordinate directly with their supervisor or vice president for additional guidance.

Campus Services

Dining Services

  • Friday: All dining open normal hours
  • Saturday:
    • Cafeteria – Open Normal Hours
    • Chick-fil-A and Starbucks 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    • All other dining locations closed
  • Sunday and Monday:
    • Cafeteria – will operate on reduced hours from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. In addition to our dine in service, students will also be offered to go options to accommodate the change in hours
    • All other dining locations closed

Dover Library – Closed beginning 5:00 p.m. January 23rd

Suttle Wellness Center – Closed beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday

Campus Preparedness

Preparations have been made to ensure campus facilities are prepared to safely accommodate students in the event of a power outage, including additional food and water supplies and generator-supported power. Additional information will be shared if needed.

Another update will be provided tomorrow at 2 p.m., or sooner if conditions change.

  • Face-to-face classes scheduled for 1/22 and 1/23 in Charlotte have been rescheduled (updated information will be shared directly with affected students). 
  • Track & Field vs. Orange and Purple Invitational moved to Friday, January 23 
  • Swimming at Queens moved to Friday, January 23 
  • Men’s Tennis cancelled 
  • Men’s Basketball vs. USC Upstate moved to Friday, January 23 at 7 p.m. 
  • Women’s Basketball at High Point moved to Friday, January 23 at 7 p.m.
  • First Pitch moved to Friday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. 
  • Hoopscoming rescheduled to Saturday, February 7

ÃÛ¶¹Ö±²¥ University continues to monitor winter weather conditions and their potential impact on campus operations.

Beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 23, all classes are cancelled through the weekend.

Monday, January 26 will be a remote learning day. Professors will contact affected students directly with further information regarding coursework and expectations related to remote learning.

All extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday will continue as planned at this time.

Dining services are expected to continue operations unless otherwise communicated.

Additional information regarding faculty and staff work expectations and campus operations will be provided Friday by 2 p.m., or sooner if conditions change.
