Diancil Chavez

Diancil is help desk and operations coordinator in Technology Services. Previously, she maintained the plants at Briarpatch Greenhouses for three years. She also worked at Cleveland Community College as a student tutor for four semesters. Chavez helped students who needed assistance with any of their networking classes, cybersecurity classes or any computer skills help they may have needed. She has two associate degrees from Cleveland Community College in information technology, network technician and cybersecurity. Her hobbies are spending time with family and friends, watching shows or movies and walking on trails, especially in the mountains.

Previously Ray was technical systems manager for Valdese (N.C.) Weavers, a textile manufacturing company that makes jacquard fabrics, which are designed and finished in house. He has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, an Associate of Science in Network Administration and an Associate of Science in Computer Programming. His interests include spending time with family, watching movies, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and camping.

David Gordon

David Gordon has been hired as server and systems administrator. For the last two years he worked as the IT systems administrator at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C. Before Winthrop, he worked 15 years as Director of IT Operations and ISSM for various Department of Defense Contractors. He proudly served eight years in the United States military. He has an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Science from Cleveland Community College, and has completed 95 percent of his Bachelor of Applied Science degree at the University of South Carolina-Columbia. His hobbies are watching any and all college sports, especially football, and spending his free time on the lake fishing or playing golf.
