ÃÛ¶¹Ö±²¥ University recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are increasingly influencing teaching, learning, research, creative activity, and administrative operations. As AI continues to evolve, the University encourages responsible exploration of these technologies while maintaining its commitment to academic integrity, ethical conduct, critical thinking, and the protection of confidential information.
The following guidance establishes general expectations for the responsible use of AI by students, faculty, and staff.
Artificial intelligence technologies continue to evolve rapidly. This guidance establishes foundational principles rather than requirements for every possible use case.Additional guidance related to teaching and learning, research, citation practices, technology procurement, information security, and emerging AI technologies may be issued by Academic Affairs and other University offices as needed.Concerns regarding inappropriate use of AI may be addressed through existing University policies, including academic integrity, student conduct, employee conduct, information security, research compliance, and applicable professional standards.
AI detection tools may assist in identifying potential concerns regarding the use of AI-generated content; however, such tools should not be relied upon as the sole basis for academic, disciplinary, or employment-related decisions.
This guidance will be reviewed periodically and revised as needed to reflect changes in technology, educational practice, regulatory requirements, and institutional priorities.
